Configure authentication to Anysphere (Cursor)

Beta

This feature is in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page. See Manage Databricks previews.

Learn how to configure Anysphere (Cursor) to enable authentication from Databricks.

Prerequisites

  • A Anysphere (Cursor) Team or Enterprise plan with Admin API access enabled.
  • A Anysphere (Cursor) team admin who can create an Admin API key. The connector authenticates with an Admin API Key created in the Cursor dashboard. The Admin API is available only to Team and Enterprise plan customers.

Configure Anysphere (Cursor)

In this step, you create an Anysphere (Cursor) Admin API Key. For more information, see Anysphere: Admin API.

To create the key:

  1. Sign in to the Cursor dashboard as a team admin.
  2. Go to Settings > Cursor Admin API Keys (or API Keys depending on your plan).
  3. Click Create key and give it a descriptive name.
  4. Click Create, then copy the generated Admin API Key (crsr_...). Store it securely — Anysphere (Cursor) shows the full key only once.

For details on the Cursor Admin API and available endpoints, see Anysphere: Admin API and Anysphere: API Overview.

Next steps

After configuring Anysphere (Cursor), create a connection in Databricks. See Create an Anysphere Audit Logs connection.
