Configure authentication to Atlassian

Beta

This feature is in Beta. To use it, a workspace admin must turn on Lakeflow Connect for Atlassian Audit Logs from the Previews page. See Manage Databricks previews.

Configure Atlassian to enable authentication from Databricks for the Atlassian Audit Logs connector. Use the credentials from these steps to create a Unity Catalog connection in Databricks.

Prerequisites

Configure Atlassian

Atlassian authenticates admin API requests with an API key that the connector sends as a Bearer token. For more information, see Atlassian's guide to managing an organization with the admin APIs.

  1. Sign in to Atlassian Administration as a user with Organization admin permission. Select your organization if you manage more than one.
  2. Select Organization settings, then API keys.
  3. Select Create API key.
  4. Select API keys without scopes, then select Create API key.
  5. Enter a Name for the key, and select an expiration date. Keys can't last longer than a year.
  6. Select Create.
  7. Copy the Organization ID and API key. Atlassian doesn't show these values again. Use them to create a Unity Catalog connection in Databricks.
