Create a LinkedIn Ads connection

Beta

This feature is in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page. See Manage Databricks previews.

Create a LinkedIn Ads connection in Catalog Explorer to store authentication credentials for Lakeflow Connect ingestion. Any user with the USE CONNECTION privilege on the connection can then create LinkedIn Ads ingestion pipelines without needing direct access to the credentials.

For privilege requirements, see Connect to managed ingestion sources.

Prerequisites

Complete the source setup. You need the Client ID and Client Secret from your LinkedIn app to create the connection.

Create a connection

  1. In your Databricks workspace, click Catalog in the left pane.

  2. Click Create, then select Create a connection.

  3. In the Connection name field, enter a unique name for the connection.

  4. In the Connection type drop-down menu, select LinkedIn Ads.

  5. Click Next, then enter the Client ID and Client Secret from your LinkedIn app.

  6. Click Sign in with LinkedIn. In the LinkedIn authorization window, click Allow to grant the connector the r_ads and r_ads_reporting scopes. LinkedIn returns you to Databricks after authorization succeeds.

  7. Click Create connection.
