Configure authentication to Zoho Books
Beta
This feature is in Beta. Workspace admins can control access to this feature from the Previews page. See Manage Databricks previews.
This page shows how to configure Zoho Books to enable authentication from Databricks for the Zoho Books connector. Use the credentials you obtain from the steps on this page to create a Unity Catalog connection in Databricks.
Prerequisites
- A Zoho Books account. API access is available on all Zoho Books plans, including Free.
- A Zoho Self Client authorized for the read scopes the connector requires. See Required OAuth scopes.
Configure Zoho Books
The Zoho Books connector authenticates with the OAuth client-credentials Self Client flow. In this step, create a Self Client in the Zoho Developer Console and note the credentials that you enter on the connection page. For more information, see the Zoho Self Client overview.
- Sign in to the Zoho Developer Console.
- Click Add Client, select Self Client, then click Create.
- On the Client Secret tab, note the Client ID and Client Secret. Use these credentials to create a Unity Catalog connection in Databricks.
- Confirm that the Self Client is authorized for the read-only scopes that the connector requires. For the full list, see Required OAuth scopes.
- In Zoho Books, open Settings and note your Organization ID (
org_id). The connector sends this identifier with every request. - Note your Zoho data center region code from your Zoho Books URL, such as
com,eu, orin. Enter this value as the Region when you create the connection.
