Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines release 2025.36

These features and improvements were released with the 2025.36 release of Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines.

Channel:

  • CURRENT (default): Databricks Runtime 16.4
  • PREVIEW: Databricks Runtime 16.4

Because Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines channel releases follow a rolling upgrade process, channel upgrades are deployed to different regions at different times. Your release, including Databricks Runtime versions, might not be updated until a week or more after the initial release date. New features and improvements​

  • Improved performance for selective refresh requests (requests that only update selected tables). See Run pipeline code
  • Performance improvements to the Python REPL, for a more responsive authoring experience.
