Unity Catalog functions MCP server

The Unity Catalog functions MCP server is a Databricks workspace MCP endpoint that exposes the custom Python and SQL functions you register in Unity Catalog as predefined tools for agents to call, with access governed by Unity Catalog permissions. To create a function, see Create agent tools using Unity Catalog functions.
For new Python agents, use UCFunctionToolkit to call registered functions directly.
The server also exposes the ready-to-use functions in the system.ai schema, such as the code interpreter (system.ai.python_exec), which lets an agent run Python code with no setup.
