Use the table of contents in Lakeflow Designer
The Table of contents pane lists every operator and group in a visual data prep. Use it to find an operator in a large visual data prep, check which operators failed, and view the code that Lakeflow Designer generates for each operator.
To open the table of contents, click Table of contents in the left pane.
Find an operator
Select an operator in the list to focus it on the canvas.
To search, enter text in Find an operator or group.... Search matches operator names and values in an operator's configuration, such as a column name. For configuration matches, the table of contents shows the matching configuration paths below the operator. Press Cmd/Ctrl+F while the table of contents is open to focus the search box. Press it again to use the browser's find instead.
Navigate groups
Operators inside a group appear beneath it. Expand or collapse a group to show or hide its operators. To expand or collapse every group at the same time, use Expand all groups or Collapse all groups.
Sort and filter the list
Open the options menu next to the search box to sort and filter the list:
- Sort by: Order operators by Graph order, Name, Type, Status, or Modified. Graph order follows the flow of data through the visual data prep.
- Filter by > Status: Show only operators that Failed, have a Warning, or are Disabled.
- Filter by > Type: Show only operators of the selected types.
View generated code
Every visual data prep is backed by generated code. To inspect the code for an operator, click the arrow next to it in the table of contents. Click the arrow again to hide the code.
To version this code with Git or deploy it with Declarative Automation Bundles, see Move a visual data prep file to production.
