Genie
Genie is the Databricks AI experience for users. It gives every user in your organization a single place to ask data questions in natural language, explore AI/BI dashboards, and run Databricks Apps. Every answer is grounded in your organization's data and governed through Unity Catalog.
Genie is part of a family of AI experiences built on the same governed data foundation:
- Genie One: A simplified interface for business users to discover and interact with data assets.
- Genie Spaces: Domain-specific environments where data teams configure trusted data, metrics, and business rules that power Genie One answers.

Manage Genie One budgets
Starting July 6, 2026, Genie One products will move to a pay-as-you-go pricing model with a per-user free monthly allowance. Account admins can begin configuring budgets and cost controls now. For details, see what's coming.
