Create a Pendo connection

Create a Pendo connection in Catalog Explorer to store authentication credentials for Lakeflow Connect ingestion. Any user with the USE CONNECTION privilege on the connection can then create Pendo ingestion pipelines without needing direct access to the credentials.
Alternatively, admin users can create a connection and a pipeline at the same time in the data ingestion UI. See Create an ingestion pipeline.

Prerequisites
- A Pendo subscription with API access enabled, and a Pendo user with Pendo admin permissions and integration key access. See Configure Pendo.
- A Pendo API Integration Key. Complete the source setup before creating the connection.
Create a connection
- In the Databricks workspace, click
Catalog > Create > Create a connection.
- On the Connection basics page of the Set up connection wizard, specify a Connection name.
- In the Connection type drop-down menu, select Pendo.
- (Optional) Add a comment.
- Click Next.
- On the Authentication page, enter the following credential from Configure Pendo for managed ingestion:
- API Integration Key: The API Integration Key that authenticates to your Pendo instance.
- Click Create connection.
