Troubleshoot the TikTok Ads connector

Learn how to troubleshoot common issues with the TikTok Ads connector.

Permissions or scope error​

Error message:

Permission denied or scope error

Cause: The required scopes weren't selected when creating the app in TikTok Ads or when creating the Unity Catalog connection.

Solution:

  1. Confirm that you selected all the required scopes when creating the app in TikTok Ads:

    • Ad Account Management
    • Ads Management
    • Reporting

    See Configure TikTok Ads for managed ingestion.

  2. When creating the connection in Databricks, make sure that you selected all the scopes during the OAuth authorization flow.

  3. If the scopes are missing, delete and recreate the connection, making sure to select all required scopes.
