Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines release 2025.23

These features and improvements were released with the 2025.23 release of Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines.

Channel:

  • CURRENT (default): Databricks Runtime 16.1
  • PREVIEW: Databricks Runtime 16.1

Because Declarative Pipelines channel releases follow a rolling upgrade process, channel upgrades are deployed to different regions at different times. Your release, including Databricks Runtime versions, might not be updated until a week or more after the initial release date. New features and improvements​

  • Fixes an issue where metrics were accidentally cleared when a changeset was empty but not treated as a no-op. Now, Complete dataframes return all metrics as zero, while change dataframes return zeros that preserve existing metrics.
