Use the Files API with the regional hostname
This feature is in Beta. To use it, a workspace admin must turn on Files API V3 with Large File Upload Support from the Previews page. See Manage Databricks previews.
You access the Files API 3.0 endpoints, including the multipart upload endpoints, by using the /api/3.0/fs endpoint prefix and sending requests to the regional hostname of the workspace that the requesting user belongs to. Files API 2.0 does not use the regional hostname. See Files API versions.
The regional hostname has the following format:
<workspace-id>.storage.<workspace-region>.<databricks-domain>
The following is an example of a regional hostname:
1234567890123456.storage.us-central1.gcp.databricks.com
Find your workspace ID and region
Find your workspace ID and region in the Databricks account console.
You can also find the workspace ID in the deployment URL. In the URL https://<databricks-instance>/?o=1234567890123456, the number after o= is the workspace ID.
The workspace UI shows the region below the workspace name.
You construct the regional hostname manually from the workspace ID and region.
