current_date function

Returns the current date at the start of query evaluation.

Syntax 

current_date()

Arguments

This function takes no arguments.

Returns

A DATE.

The braces are optional.

Examples 

> SELECT current_date();
 2020-04-25
> SELECT current_date;
 2020-04-25
