Format numeric types in visualizations

In many visualizations you can control how the numeric types are formatted. You control the format by supplying a format string. That formatting applies to numbers in the table visualization and when hovering over data points on a chart visualization, but not to the counter visualization or when formatting axis values. Here are examples for the various format options.
